Still not sure that I shouldn't have stretched this into two comics, but it's too late now. I also wanted to get some sort of throwing effect, but I couldn't get one that looked right within the deadline. From now on, I don't promise a certain amount of updates in a given period unless they're all done already.

In other news entirely, there's a new show on NBC called Chase. I caught the premier on Monday. It's about United States Marshals tracking down fugitives. And it takes place in Texas. As a proud Texan myself, I have to say that Chase is the first fictional depiction of Texas that I've seen that actually seems like -real- Texas, not -Hollywood- Texas.

The state was not depicted as one big desert, or hillbilly country. It's depicted as a large, diverse state with just as many major cities as any other state, but many rural communities and small towns as well.

There were no ridiculous-sounding Southern accents, everyone talked like someone I might meet on the street. There was not an abundance of cowboy hats, either, unless you count the early scene that took place in the Fort Worth Stockyards, where the usage of cowboy hats was quite believable.

And lastly, the characters didn't act like unlearned, backwater hillbillies and shotgun-toting mavericks. They acted like people. Real, Texan people. All in all, I was very impressed with how realistic the depiction of the state was. Very well done, and I highly recommend it.

New page on Friday! Hopefully!

It is your comic, you don't have to follow your updating schedule if you have a good reason.

As for future reference, maybe combine a blur effect with an arc.

And poor Hammer Bro.

Thanks for the advice. I had an idea of what the "throw" blur should look like, but I couldn't figure out how to make a motion blur with a bend on it in GIMP, which is what I've been using for the visual effects. Maybe I'll figure out how to do something like that in a later comic.

Cool. Epic. The zombies are winning, how worrisome yes.

I have to drive through texas sometimes- a long hike from Georgia- and I think it's very nice.

Oo it's getting intense now!
